Quickie!

Alright, this will be a short and quick update of wedding plans...they are stalled! We have decided to take a breather for last week and this week. All the planning has made me very stressed. For now, I still do not have an RN job anywhere, although, the VA is making hints to hiring me (whatever that means). The Bridal Fair is next Sunday and so we have agreed to not have any wedding talk, outside of my dress and shoes, until after that day. So, keep checking for the latest update.

Just Another Day

Hello everybody, so I just wanted to give an update, a rather boring update. Dave and I have pretty much solidified OUR wishes for this wedding, at this point it's a matter of getting families on board. (which is not an easy task, unfortunately). To add fuel to the fire, yesterday at work I had to have one of our physicians examine me because I felt like I was having trouble taking a deep breath. Turns out I think it's just anxiety...yep, that's right, wedding planning is giving me anxiety attacks. I talked to my wonderful husband-to-be, who was sooooo cutely worried about me, and he calmed me down, as always. **note to self, don't sweat the small stuff** Tomorrow I think I'm due for some good BABY TIME, good friends, good drinks, and wedding dress shopping. Wish me luck.

First visit to Tubac

Alright, so today we (and by that I mean Dave, myself, his mom, my mom, her boyfriend, and his son) drove to Tubac and met the event coordinator that "will" be our go to woman if we have the wedding down there. The meeting was...stressful; for me at least. I don't handle situations well, in which the ending may not be happy. So, we met and we walked the parents around the property and showed them the chapel and the outdoor ceremony area as well as the ballroom where the reception would be held. All of this was nice and wonderful. Then we moved to the business aspect of the trip, which was, as you could tell, not my favorite. But Dave reminded me of one of his endearing qualities I love about him. His ability to NOT beat around the bush, ask the questions that need to be asked, and not settle for un-anwers. Again, not my favorite part, because the bottom line is that this place is...EXPENSIVE!!! And to top it off, my "under 100 people" has turned into, "please let it stay under 150 people". ARGH! Oh well, as Dave so NOT politely informed on the way home, planning this wedding is not supposed to become a dreadful event. I will keep a smile on my face and cross my fingers that the numbers come back LOW on monday.

Also, in other news, I have been extended at my job at the VA until July 18th. I don't know if I didn't get the job that I interviewed for, or if they haven't been approved to offer it to me yet. I don't really know what is going on...all I know is that at this point I still have a job and I can't ask for much more.

Our First Blog

Alright, we have now taken the first step that was in a LONG list of things to do when planning our wedding (at least that is what all the magazines say). A way for our all of our family and friends to keep in touch with us and feel included in all of the wedding goings-ons!
